Baker House Residences are ideally located for Cornell University students! We are approximately a 5-10 minute walk from the edge of the campus right here in Ithaca, New York.
Definitely! Baker House are right in the heart of the action, within walking distance of student favorites like CTB, Franco’s, and other popular spots near the Cornell campus.
Yes, Baker House Residences offer open lot parking for our residents. Please ask our leasing team about availability and any associated fees.
Applying to Baker House Residences is simple! You can apply online through our website or visit our leasing office. The process typically involves an application form, proof of enrollment or income (if applicable), and potentially a guarantor form.
To make budgeting easier, Baker House offers flat rate utility pricing so your monthly utility expense is not a guessing game! Utilities included in the flat-rate costs are electric, water, and sewage. Internet service is provided at no additional cost to our residents!
We offer a standard 12-month lease term! Our team is happy to work with residents who may need help with relets and sublets, which is common practice in Ithaca.
With secure exterior building entry and well lit entrances, safety is a top priority and focus from our team! While it’s impossible to gaurantee safety, we strive to ensure our residents feel a true sense of safe and secure at our community.
With an included membership to The Mansion, the amenities our residents have access to as well as the events The Mansion and the community put on are among the most elite in off-campus housing.
Our dedication to fee transparency ensures our residents have no confusion about how much they are expected to pay both in advance of moving in and during their stay!
Residents are able to have guests at their apartment, though we ask for alignment among residents’ for multi-bed floor plans. Guests are not permitted to stay overnight for more than three consecutive nights and are not to exceed 7 nights in any 30-day span.
As a Living Learning Community, quiet hours are taken seriously. We refer to these as “Courtesy Hours,” which span from 11pm – 7am.
Upon the completion of all renovations, our community will have a dedicated package locker for our residents who have items shipped to them.
Our team will provide information regarding Move-In day in advance, however each newly signed resident can start their move-in checklist within their resident portal as soon as the lease is fully executed.
For your protection, all residents are required to maintain an active renter’s insurance policy. You are free to choose your own provider, or for your convenience, you can opt into our community’s preferred plan through Foxen for a low monthly cost. Every resident who has not provided and received approval for 3rd party renters’ insurance will be automatically opted into Foxen’s provided plan and applicable charges will be added to the resident account.
Our community is located in a vibrant and convenient neighborhood. We are just a short distance from Collegetown, The Commons, and the Ithaca Mall
For those who love the outdoors, Baker House Residences are close to several beautiful parks, including Stewart Park, which offers golfing, tennis courts, a carousel, athletic fields, duck pond, and a walking trail that leads right to the Ithaca Farmers Market
